Long Copper Necklaces with some Sterling and Stone Bead Accents

As the price of Silver has been dramatically increasing over the past year or so I was forced to consider using some alternative metals. I am actually crazy about the look of copper - especially when it has been oxidized using Liver of Sulfur and then polished back up to a matte sheen by using steel wool. It has a certain warm glow to it and a very unique look.

This colorful tangerine orange necklace is the perfect piece to brighten up your outfit for the Cinco de Mayo celebrations. The beads are faceted glass which gives it just that right amount of sparkle...Wear it and light up the room!

Spring is Here !

Wow !  Blogger has changed since the last time I posted. So this is a test to see how the new layout/font  looks...

As for this pretty necklace it will take you through Spring and into the hot Summer Months..It's got some umph but it is still lightweight and "airy".  

I have made this general design several times in the past but they have each had their own quirks and I like to mix up the different stones and chains. Kiwi Jasper and Pearl Necklace

I'm pleased to say that I sold this beauty from my etsy store . The center stone is Kiwi Jasper and has a Silver Freshwater Pearl dangly Shinka Shinka Cluster. (try saying THAT three times fast ). All of the metal components are Sterling Silver and the chain is all hand wrapped wire. So pretty if I may say so myself .lol

Debra is her name and she is having her readers link up something that they created so I posted this pair of pearl earrings from my etsy store. I have made this certain style for quite a few years now and once- a long, LONG time ago - they were photographed for a magazine spread in a Martha Stewart Wedding issue. Click on the photo of the model - You can just see the earrings peeking out from underneath her side rolls. I want to fix my hair like hers- So stinkin cute !

Fort Worth Friends- It's time for another Arts Goggle !!!

This festival of art, live music, food & drink happens a couple of times a year in Fort Worth’s Near Southside. The happenings are centered around Magnolia Avenue, with events also occuring on 8th Avenue . It’s a lively pedestrian-oriented event that always guarantees a great time and plenty of awesome art, photography, sculpture, and music.

The weather is supposed to be beautiful and this is the perfect opportunity while you are "out and about " to come say hello and have some FUN !

A repousse piece to be proud of

I made this owl last year with a little help from my teacher Nacho Gomez.

I love it so much and it is a locket- the owl head opens and closes on a hinge!

I am posting it again to remind myself of what I am capable of - I love repousse and I am happy to say that my friend Lindsay loves it as much as I do. Here is a photo of her styling out my power necklace and my favorite cowgirl shirt in Argentina! Once you learn some basic steps and start making your tools you are set! It is how I would like to spend ALL my hours - each and every day !
